To achieve Rugby Australia's Vision, Rugby must be as safe, inclusive and fair as possible. Rugby Australia has several policies and initiatives aimed at ensuring that Rugby is safe to play and is enjoyable for all participants.
Concussion Management
Important considerations and information in the management of concussion or a potential concussion within Rugby.

Serious Injuries
Rugby Australia acknowledges the importance of providing appropriate protocols, procedures, guidance and support to assist players, families and clubs in managing a serious injury or fatality within rugby.

Serious Injury Review
In 2018 four young players suffered serious spinal injuries whilst engaging in rugby activities. A Serious Injury Review Panel was appointed to review these incidents with its findings published here.

Welfare Initiatives
This year, Rugby Australia partnered with Sports Chaplaincy Australia to provide further support services for the rugby community.
Player Dispensation
The safety of all Rugby participants must be the primary consideration in all participation decisions.

Match Day Safety
Match day safety includes best practice policies and guidelines to ensure our players are as safe as possible while on the rugby field.

First Aid Medical
Rugby Australia & World Rugby encourages Clubs and Schools to take the following recommended measures to ensure that the game is both safe and enjoyable to play.
