Sydney and NSW Country to enter the fray in round two this weekend

Round two of the National Rugby Championship sees the two NSW sides in Sydney and NSW Country play their first matches of season 2018.

Queensland Country take their first match on the road to Townsville, whilst the Western Force get their first NRC match at home.

Saturday 8 September

Fiji Drua v Brisbane City

Where: Lautoka, Churchill Park, Fiji

When: 1.00pm AEST, streamed LIVE on FOX SPORTS

Fiji Drua will be looking to make it two from two at home this weekend after their thrilling victory over Melbourne Rising in round one.

Brisbane City will face the Fiji Drua for just the second time, with BC looking to continue their unbeaten record against the Drua.

Sydney v Canberra Vikings

Where: Sydney, Concord Oval

When: 3.00pm AEST, LIVE on FOX SPORTS

Sydney will play their first match of the 2018 NRC season, when they take on last year’s grand finalists in the Vikings at Concord Oval this Saturday afternoon.

Junior Wallabies representative Ryan Lonergan comes into the starting halfback position for the Vikings as they look to register their first win of the season.

Sunday 9 September

Queensland Country v Melbourne Rising

Where: Townsville, Mike Carney Park

When: 3.00pm AEST, LIVE on FOX SPORTS

Queensland Country take their first match on the road when they play in Townsville this weekend.

The Queenslanders will be looking for their second win of the season after the defending Champions accounted for Canberra in round one.

Melbourne Rising have won three of the four encounters between these two sides.

Western Force v NSW Country Eagles

Where: Perth, UWA Sports Park

When: 1.00pm AWST, streamed LIVE on FOX SPORTS

The Western Force will be looking to make it back to back wins when they play first NRC match in Perth of season 2018.

The Force made a statement for their campaign when they accounted for Brisbane City 47-29 in round one.

NSW Country will play their first match of this season and are led by NSW Waratahs front rower, Paddy Ryan.
